A 6-pounder Smoothbore
While we're on the subject of 6-pounder smoothbores (or we were a few days ago), here's a shot of one.
This cannon is at Delong Reservation on Missionary Ridge, marking the position of Water's Alabama Battery during the battle on November 25, 1863. The monument to the 2nd Minnesota Infantry Regiment is in the background.
